The simple breakfast was delicious, with local flavors that felt home cooked rather than like hotel food. Mr. Sheen, the manager, was professional and quiet, respecting the peaceful setting, but also lovely to talk with once you started a conversation. He added to the property's respectful character. We wanted somewhere comfortable to stay the night, without high-end pampering, and Palmyra by Waterfront suited us well. It has a pleasant feel between a homestay and a resort, grounded and authentic, and its calm, well-kept atmosphere was rejuvenating. We stayed one night and found it a quiet escape for nature lovers who want to get away from city noise without being too far from town. There may be events in the space behind the accommodation, though they didn't disturb us. Since it's by the lake, bring Odomos or repellent. We really enjoyed the visit and will definitely return when we're back in Kollam.

Pradeep’s chickpeas were a highlight, and his cooking was superb. Jilal and Pradeep were so friendly that they made us feel at home. We had the spacious outside glass room. The curtains had thick dust on them, which is the one improvement I’d suggest, but the rest of the room was good. I’d rate its condition 4/5. The whole stay was amazing, worth the money, and left us with a great memory. I’d definitely come back.

This was my fourth stay at Palmyra, and I’ve loved staying here on every visit to Kollam. The rooms are clean and spacious, with all amenities, and the ambience is very good. All the staff are cooperative, especially Jalal (Julie). A wonderful stay, best in class.

We had trouble with the hot water, but Mr. Jallil was really helpful and cooperative. The room service was good too. There’s no hotel in-house, though they’re tied up with a nice nearby hotel that delivers food within 10-15mins. It’s a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family. I recommend it to everyone.

The traditional breakfast was a special treat, and Jalal speaks very good Hindi. Service was very good throughout our stay. The place is neat, clean, calm, and scenic, with a superb location. We enjoyed our stay and recommend taking a break here. Book for a week if you want peace of mind.
