The rooms were okay, but could have been cleaner. The TV wasn’t working and there was no WiFi. The charging switches, curtains, and windows were all in poor condition. My booking didn’t cover 24 hours, so check that before you arrive.

The hotel is in a good central spot, but the rooms are dark, with just one small tube light, and both the rooms and washrooms smelled bad. Cleanliness wasn’t up to standard. Hot water was supposed to be available from 7am to 11am, but our room had none during those hours. We were told to leave the tap running for a long time, which wastes water. The room service boy was rude and acted as though we were making up the hot water problem. Eventually they brought a bucket of hot water from outside, and seemed displeased about it. The manager should address the cleanliness and improve room service. The geysers and locks on both room and washroom doors need repair too.

I visited back in 1998. It was decent enough, and the food wasn’t bad either. There was some smell from the nearby gutter, though, and a few mosquitoes.

The food service was a mess: orders arrived late, sometimes the wrong food came, and the bill was wrong. They kept pressing us to pay even though we planned to stay longer. The room and bathroom weren’t clean, and the curtains looked as if they hadn’t been washed in ages. There was a gutter view and smell, plus mosquitoes at night, which the staff didn’t address. The staff were very uncooperative. If you want to enjoy your trip, I’d say don’t book here.
