OYO 19830 Hotel Lucky Star

The rooms and bathrooms weren’t clean, the door lock wasn’t proper, and the service wasn’t good.

The staff were nice, and the toilet was clean. Since we visited in winter, we had hot water. We stayed three nights, four of us sharing one room, with two beds and a comfortable sofa and pillows. Nobody came to clean during our stay, though we kept the room tidy ourselves. Food was available at the hotel, but we always ate outside.

The staff were helpful, though their approach felt rather lackadaisical. The hotel itself is average for the price, so don't be swayed by the OYO label or premium rates. The room locks don't work properly, and there were no pillow covers. I'd only book for one night, and only if it costs under 900 rupees.

Water wasn't running in the washroom until we asked reception, and the bathroom was poorly maintained. The rooms were dirty, and there was no room service. The attached restaurant wasn't operating, while the TV signal worked only for half the day. For an extra occupant, they offered a mattress but no cot. They said WiFi was available, but wouldn't give us the password because it supposedly wasn't working. At check-in they agreed to a small discount, then denied it at checkout. I had a miserable stay and would avoid this place.
