Ashok Aashram

Ram Mandir is an easy walk from ashoka aashram. We had a wonderful stay, and both the owner and staff were really helpful.

The place was nice, but there was a lot of trash outside, and a cow was eating it. People from Asoka promised to clean it up. I hope they do, so the cows can be safe 🙏🏾

The staff behaved well, and the rooms were good enough for a stay.

Traveling with my parents and mother-in-law, all seniors, I booked two rooms for four people through MMT. Getting to the property was already difficult: after arriving by bus at the highway bypass, I couldn't find an auto willing to take us. The caretaker offered no help beyond saying she would guide a driver if I found one. The auto driver charged me 1000 rupees for 3.5kms. Then the caretaker called and bluntly refused to provide the rooms, saying MMT had booked them too cheaply and asking me to cancel. MMT said they would arrange another stay. While that was being sorted, caretaker Nitu Singh called and urged me not to accept their offer, but to ask for a refund and book directly with her for ₹2000. I confirmed several times that this meant two rooms, and she agreed. I trusted her and canceled MMT. At the property, though, she demanded ₹4000, saying ₹2000 was for one room only. I had no choice but to pay. After we'd freshened up, just as we were about to leave for Ram Mandir, she called again. Now she said she couldn't provide the rooms at that rate and insisted we move to a different, slightly more expensive stay. I told her it was unfair because she had personally persuaded me to cancel MMT, and we were traveling with senior citizens. She wouldn't budge. Even the boy at reception tried to reason with her, but she acted as if she owned the place and could do whatever she wanted. She threatened to move our luggage if we didn't leave. I ended up having to leave, and she kept reminding me that she is local. It was extremely distressing with elderly family members. I strongly advise against booking here. If someone else offers her a better price, she won't hesitate to throw you out!
