Padmshree Palace

We were three people and were impressed by how attentive and helpful the staff were from check-in through checkout. The property is clean, tidy, and well maintained, and the food was outstanding. Chef Pandey and the team served freshly cooked, delicious meals from a menu with great options for everyone. We left the dining hall full and happy each time. My family and I strongly recommend Padmashree Palace as a great choice in Ayodhya.

The location is the main drawback. The hotel isn't right on the road, so we had to rely on hotel staff to arrange any transport. There's a lot of construction and development nearby, so that may improve in the coming months. Inside, the hotel is beautiful, with lovely decor, good food, and excellent service. The rooms were clean, had a mini refrigerator and good A/C running all the time, and the bathrooms had great water pressure and were well stocked with toiletries. Breakfast had a great tasting spread with something for everyone, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the food most. Breakfast had an excellent spread, and the lunch and dinner we ate at the hotel were fresh and very good. Chef Pandey checked in during our meal and listened to our feedback. Room service and housekeeping were prompt too. Getting there was a serious problem. There is practically no proper approach road, and most taxi and battery car drivers didn't know how to reach the hotel. The reception can arrange a driver, but transport takes time and is inconvenient. Without your own car, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The windows looked out only onto ongoing construction, and the rooms were just okay. We booked through Hotels.com and paid a much higher rate in INR than felt justified. I honestly don't understand the 4.8-star ratings. The bathroom was small. Toiletries were provided, but the shower was only an overhead rain shower, with no hand shower, bucket, or mug, which may not suit everyone. Knowing how difficult the road and transport were, I wouldn't have booked. For the high price, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't return.

The meals were a memorable part of our stay. Chef Pandya's cooking was delicious and hygienic, with authentic taste, balanced flavours, and quality ingredients. You could feel the care and consistency in every dish. Padmashree Palace Hotel is calm and welcoming, with clean, spacious, well maintained rooms. The staff were courteous, cooperative, and ready to help, making things smooth and stress-free. Its convenient location works especially well for pilgrims and other visitors exploring Ayodhya. We found it comfortable and good value, with excellent hospitality and food. Highly recommended.
