Tulsi Bhawan, Ayodhya

The rooms were great, and I’ve got no complaints about them. Every room had a large Android TV, which sounded like a nice extra, but they were useless: there was no room Wi-Fi, and even the free cable channels wouldn’t show. The restaurant was a letdown too. The food was very average, and some of it was undercooked. They were late, didn’t meet our specific requests, and couldn’t explain the options or make suggestions. Morning buffet breakfast service was slow and late as well.

Tulsi Bhavan Hotel was calm and peaceful, and the housekeeping team kept everything very clean. The rooms were large, spacious, and comfortable, which made it a pleasant stay for me during my recent visit to Ayodhya. It seems particularly comfortable for families and pilgrims. Wi-Fi only reaches the lobby, which was a little inconvenient, and the restaurant’s choices were limited, mainly thali. Still, given the room size, cleanliness, and comfort, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful hotel in Ayodhya.

The hotel serves delicious food, so there’s no need to worry about making other arrangements for meals. The in-room amenities really feel five star. E-rickshaws wait at the gate for trips to the temple areas, and staff can arrange local travel if you ask.

The building is good and the location is fine, but getting there means passing an uncovered, garbage-filled dustbin. Food was awful, with no taste or variety. It was the same every day, and I wondered if leftovers might be served the next day. There weren’t other options nearby. Reception staff were friendly while we were guests. After we paid and checked out, their tone changed immediately. They wouldn’t answer simple questions or provide information. The hotel needs better management and staff who respond promptly.
