Crystal Bay Baga

Really bad experience. The hotel had been having electricity problems for days, but still took the booking amount in advance. Rooms were tiny and nothing like the photos, and there was no lift. The roads were narrow and mountainous, so we had to carry all our luggage ourselves. After all that, the electricity still didn’t come on. When we asked for our advance back and said we didn’t want to stay in the dark, they used bad language. There was no AC or fans, just very dim light running on the inverter. They didn’t return our money, and we had to leave. Very, very bad.

Monu was very welcoming, and getting food or room service was as easy as calling. They responded quickly. The beach is only a few steps away, so I didn't miss having a pool. My room was spotless, which mattered a lot since I'm allergic to dust and pollen. It made for a really happy, pleasant stay at Crystal Bay Baga.

The location was a big plus for our Goa trip. Crystal Bay Baga is roughly 100 meters from Baga Beach, about a four-minute walk, with shops, wine stores, restaurants, clothing shops, and bike rentals nearby. The price was affordable for such a convenient spot. We had booked two rooms for three friends, staying from the morning of the 13th until the evening of the 15th. I had called Mr. Satyaveer, the owner, before traveling, and he had the rooms ready when we arrived early. He greeted us warmly and showed us in. The rooms were clean and hygienic, with fresh, soft beds, air conditioning, a small fridge, a balcony, TV, and Wi-Fi. They were spacious enough for sleeping and sitting. Towels and a basic kit with a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, conditioner, and body wash were provided. To me, that covered what most travelers need for a comfortable stay. Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Shankar were friendly and handled cleaning, room preparation, and help or guidance when needed. As a Google Local Guide, I try to write honestly about my own experience. I give this stay five out of five. I know others may have had a different experience, and I respect their reviews. If something is wrong, guests should say so and give the hotel a chance to fix it.

The staff were so polite, and the service had a premium feel. Our room was spotless too. One of the best hotel stays I've had.
