La Calypso

After staying for 6days, this is what happened. The reception staff don’t communicate properly. The receptionist blocked my card without speaking with me, then issued a new one when I called her. At checkout the next day, they charged me for the smart card. It was ridiculous and shameful. I didn’t try to dispute the charge. Dining times are handled very strictly, with no 5 or 10 mins late. You pay so much, so what do you get in return? Still, I gave a good star rating.

The pool and rooms were lovely, and the location worked really well. We stayed four days and enjoyed every bit of it. The food was so good we never went to another restaurant, and Dinesh bhai made us feel incredibly welcome. Everything was just right. Thanks for a great stay.

We spent two days at la calypso from 02/02/2026, and the property feels old and in need of renovation. The bathroom tiles were chipped, the room polish had worn away, and the first-floor railing facing the road was corroded, with jute covering it. Towels were worn out too. We had to ask housekeeping for slippers, hand towels, and a shaving kit. When I requested paper and a pen, reception sent just one A4 sheet and asked for it back. At breakfast, honey and sugar-free sachets were handed to me as a special case instead of being left on the counter. This doesn't deserve a 5-star rating. A lot needs attention in this industry. Please check carefully before booking.

A nice hotel by Baga beech, and the food is good. The prices are steep, though. They charged 300 bucks for a fruit platter with just 4 bananas.
