Finding the place was easy, and the room was decent, even though it didn't match the pictures I received. I didn't eat there, so can't comment on the food. I ordered through swiggy instead; they brought plates, and there's a shared dining table. It worked fine for one night. A complimentary toilet kit with small oil, shampoo, and soap sachets would be a useful addition.
The room was well kept, the service was good, and there was plenty of parking. We got there using Google directions without any trouble, though the hotel is in a colony and quite far from Bangalore's city center. The lift wasn't working, and carrying our luggage up to the third floor was difficult. Older guests might struggle even more. Restaurants are about 1 km away, but room service is available, so that helps. Aside from the lift, things were fine.
The staff were friendly, and the calm, decent area made for a peaceful stay. Varcity is good value for money. Just keep in mind that food could be an issue, since it feels more like a service apartment than a regular hotel.
Booking through OYO was easy and check-in went smoothly. It's a good budget hotel, though room service could use improvement and the staff would benefit from a bit more training.
Bangalore is such a green city, and this lovely location made the stay feel especially beautiful. You really notice the value of all that greenery when you come from another state, even for just a day. I'll make sure to book this place again when I travel back. Cheers.
