Collection O 22550 Meridien Suites Marathahalli

The reception and support staff were cordial and professional, and the tawa roti with mix veg curry I ordered was really tasty. The food was better than expected, though choices were limited and there were no juices. The compact room was good and economical, and the Oyo is in a prime location just a few yards from premier food joints. Frequent power cuts and returns were irritating during my one-day stay.

I stayed for eight days, and the room door lock had a problem that was never fixed. The staff weren't polite, and the service overall needs work. Breakfast also needs improvement, the menu looked like PG mess food and it wasn't edible. On the plus side, it's near multiplex and outer ring road, and accessible from all places. The access road is difficult in rain, and the WiFi needs to actually work if they claim to provide it.

I only gave it two stars for the service, which was a bit good. The room ambience and standards weren't up to the mark, and the queen size bed had a single bed sheet. Breakfast was mostly disappointing: sambar and idly weren't good, and neither were poha, parata, or tea. Bread and jam were okay. Normal hotels these days offer better ambience and service without charging more. I hope they improve their standards.

I got peaceful sleep for both nights after my business meets. The hotel is in Marathahalli behind Biriyani Zone, close to the outer ring road, but it wasn't noisy or affected by traffic sound. Breakfast is complimentary but could use more options, and service was a little slow because they hadn't worked out the head count before serving. There's no covered parking, so most of us left vehicles on the road. Nothing happened, though I'm unsure the management would take responsibility. Restaurants, bars, and bus stops are all within walking distance. It's a good budget choice for business trips.
