Collection O 40090 Vittala Comfort

It used to be a good place, but it’s gone downhill badly. I stayed for one night last week, and the room smelled strongly of smoke. The bathroom was very dirty, and so were the bed towels. I won’t come back.

The location was the only good part. Service was awful, and the rooms were really unhygienic.

The location is handy, just a short walk from Whitefield-Hoskote road, but there wasn’t much else to like. At check-in, the staff member was busy on a phone call and didn’t seem interested in helping. The rooms are spacious, though they need a lot more cleaning. The washroom smelled bad and had no toiletries, while the pillow, bed, and bedspread were filthy. Online booking isn’t accepted, and the price feels high for the facilities and cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend it.

When I booked a double room for two days at Vittala Comfort, the price shown was around Rs. 790/-. Soon after, OYO emailed asking for part or full payment, saying rooms were filling quickly, so I paid part of it online. But at check-in they demanded Rs.1050/- per day for the room. The low online price and confirmed booking followed by a much higher charge at the hotel felt like a scam. It put us in a position where we’d have to pay triple the amount shown to get a room.
