We found our room had loads of space, ceiling fans, air conditioning, and even a private bathroom, which was a great surprise. The rooms feel more like little apartments, and the building felt secure, with key card access to the shared areas and bolts on our side of the room door. The neighborhood is trendy, near a major road lined with plenty of places to eat and shop. It’s hard to tell from the Airbnb listing, but Royal Habitat runs much like a small hotel. The staff are incredibly welcoming and cook daily meals at very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Bangalore.

The staff were good, but the food and rooms were pretty average. The guest house is okay, and the rooms are really just suitable for sleeping. The stairs are cramped, and there’s no parking for four-wheelers. The place could be maintained more professionally.

The location is handy for good food and shops, but I wish the place itself had been better. Friends who were staying there found a bed bug. Our A/C didn’t work, so we needed the fan, but it squeaked so badly that we couldn’t sleep with it on. Turning it off made the room far too hot. The manager or owner, I’m not sure which, kept trying to get us to pay more and adding charges. They even tried to charge us for water bottles our friends had dropped off for us.

This is a regular house being used as a guesthouse, with reception set up in the flat’s hall. You get just one room, so don’t expect a typical hotel stay. It was clean, but the place is quite old and doesn’t feel well furnished.
