FabHotel Barons Inn Jayanagar

I had to switch rooms four times and still ended up going to bed in filthy sheets. The bed covers, pillows, and towels looked and smelled unwashed, like previous guests had used them. The rooms were very unhygienic, the toilets were awful, and the whole hotel had a strange stench. Even after asking at least 10 times, there was no hot water. Staff seemed laid back and incapable, with no sense of responsibility for their jobs. I finally checked out early because I couldn’t stay there any longer, then moved to an OYO. Fabhotels was disappointing on the support side too. Their contact center didn’t respond at first, and promised a callback with a resolution that never came. I only got a response after my third call and asking for a manager on the floor, and it was no use. This was a horrible experience. Fabhotels is doing an awful job and will lose customers like me.

The location in the city is beautiful, but maintenance is a serious problem. The intercom and lights weren’t maintained, and the lift was in poor condition. Staff were okay, though the service was inferior. For each request, you’re expected to call the landline or the shift in-charge’s mobile. This was the poorest hotel I’ve stayed at. Maybe these issues have been fixed by now.

The bar on the top floor left the corridors smelling of liquor and cigarettes, and it didn’t seem like a family-friendly hotel. Couples visit the bar up there. The breakfast was third class, not fit to be called complimentary. Overall this felt like rubbish, and I’ll never trust FAB again. I paid Rs 2005 per day for five days at FabHotel Baron's Inn Jayanagar. In the first room, the bathroom was covered with fungi or algae, and the damp walls had peeling paint from water seepage. The second room had bed bugs, and its washbasin kept clogging. Staff don’t maintain the rooms and only call plumbers after guests complain. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. It’s not a three star hotel, I’d give it zero stars. It’s not worth more than Rs 500 per day. I felt cheated by the FAB Hotels brand. Stay here if you want to lose your peace, bring bed bugs home, lose money, or feel cheated. It’s unprofessional.

The hotel has MAIN LAND CHINA as its restaurant, and the food was excellent. Our room was comfortable, and it was easy to walk to good restaurants and shops nearby. It’s a budget hotel, and we stayed for two weeks. We would’ve been glad to stay longer. The staff were friendly and outgoing, and made us feel welcome. Even though we came from another continent, we felt at home. I stayed here at october 1st 2016.
