Hotel Nandhini Jayanagar

It took almost an hour for our order to arrive, and both the food and service were very disappointing. When you go to a hotel, you expect good food without such a long wait. The atmosphere was pleasant and well maintained, but that alone couldn’t make up for slow service and poor food.

The food was a letdown: the paneer biryani didn’t taste good and the paneer quality was poor, while the paneer sholay kebab starter was awful. Service was extremely poor too. We had to ask two or three times for water, and the waiters didn’t serve the starters properly, so we kept having to call staff over. We ordered lemon soda, only to be told after they’d taken the order that it wasn’t available. That felt very unprofessional. Both the food and service were disappointing.

I ordered the mushroom biryani, and later that night I had stomach pain and loose motion. The place was almost empty and felt lifeless and neglected, like a zombie place, which should have been a warning sign. An empty restaurant is one thing, but getting sick after eating raises real doubts for me about freshness, hygiene, and how the kitchen is managed. Terrible experience from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Management needs to improve the atmosphere and food quality before expecting customers to come back.

For ₹300, the unlimited veg meals felt like a limited spread, with no poori or chapati. The Andhra food was very ordinary, and the pappu and sambar were so heavy on tamarind they tasted sour rather than flavorful. They didn’t serve regular water either. Instead, overpriced mineral water bottles were on the table and we were expected to open them. Nandini Delux in Jayanagar is an old place with worn seats and tables. There were lots of waiters around, but none paid attention unless we called out. 2/5, not worth the price, taste, or water trick. Wouldn’t recommend.
