La Sara Gateway

The rooms and property itself are okay, but the reception team made this a very disappointing stay. They weren’t welcoming or even basically hospitable. I used to stay here regularly, but after this experience I won’t return, whatever discount they offer. Holiday Inn on the same nearby road gives a much better service and guest experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The food was a real highlight, with good quality Indian dishes and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices at the buffet restaurant. Parking was good too. I stayed for two nights, and the room was comfortable and fine. The staff were great with guests.

We paid ₹3,000 for three people, which felt reasonable, and the staff were courteous from the security and bell desk through to the attendants. We stayed one night with family while traveling back to Kochi. The rooms were very neat, and I think this is a new property. Parking is somewhat tight, and in heavy traffic it can be awkward to reach because you have to take an underpass to get in. Our early checkout went smoothly. I was struck by how cheerful and energetic the same bell boy still was at 4 a.m., after helping us the night before.

The breakfast was tasty, served hot and fresh, and the team looked after us while we ate. We only had breakfast, but it was nicely prepared. La Sara Gateway was comfortable from the moment we arrived: check-in was easy, and the staff greeted us warmly. The rooms felt spacious and relaxing, with clean, attractive interiors, thoughtful lighting and furnishings, and housekeeping kept everything in excellent shape throughout our stay. There was plenty of parking, which helped since we were traveling with family. The property is well maintained and seems suited to both brief and longer visits. The whole team was professional and warm, and made us feel welcome. We had a peaceful, pleasant stay and would happily recommend La Sara Gateway.
