Manyata Palace

For the price, Hotel O Manyata Palace is clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and polite, so the stay was smooth and pleasant. A good option for a hassle-free stay.

We had to ask for room cleaning, otherwise they wouldn’t do it. They didn’t provide towels or soap, and the TVs had no recharge despite repeated requests. The staff weren’t supportive, and the receptionist was rude to guests. The rooms weren’t maintained properly: mosquitoes came through holes drilled for the AC, the AC units were partly fitted and not working, and the fans either ran fast or were off. The geysers seemed dangerously installed, without bottom lids. The washrooms were big, but some room flushes didn’t work. We changed rooms twice during our three day stay.

The website said there was complimentary breakfast, but there wasn’t any. They didn’t even provide soap or a towel. There were food stains on the walls and I found a cockroach under the pillow. The photos online and the actual place are miles apart. I booked by mistake because of confusion over the name, and they made me regret it. I hardly ever review places on gmaps, but they changed me as a person ;)

I booked for 899, but when I arrived the hotel asked for 1200 because it was the weekend. The Oyo app rates seem to be just for show, since the hotel supervisors set their own prices. I had heavy luggage and couldn’t go looking around for another room, so I had to accept the extra charge. They didn’t provide towels or even a single bar of soap. Seems you have to ask for every basic thing.
