OYO 13090 Astor Hotel

The breakfast buffet needs more variety. It had only three items, with Idli and Sambar served every day, and an in-house restaurant for lunch and dinner would also improve things. My room was decent, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel is in a prime area with easy access to nearby attractions. The old air conditioner felt like something from the 1980s, and brighter room lighting would make it more inviting. I stayed five nights and had a pleasant experience. Shyamli at reception was especially polite and always found solutions when I had an issue. Srikanth, one of the caretakers, also made sure my orders arrived promptly and with care. Their dedication and professionalism really lifted my stay. I'd rate the hotel 3.5 stars, but Shyamli and Srikanth earned five-star recognition.

The room was spacious, and Shyamala was attentive, polite, and responsive. Still, several facility issues made the stay uncomfortable. There was no ventilation in the room, and the whole property felt suffocating, especially during the day. In Bangalore's intense summer heat, the lack of chilled water, complimentary bottled water, ice, or even a fridge was frustrating. The location was inconvenient too. Breakfast was a big letdown for a reputed chain like Treebo. The idlis were sour, the sambar far too spicy, and the tea wasn't good. The bread omelette was the one decent item. The staff did their best, but the amenities and facilities fell well short of what I expected. I hope management improves the building and the food.

We got more help from the staff here than at our other stays, they were really accommodating to what we needed. For affordable comfort, I'd book this place without overthinking it, if it's not sold out lol!

I stayed at astor for two days and had a good experience. The room was cleaned every day, the staff were cooperative, and breakfast in the morning tasted good. They provided just one complimentary water bottle per day, though, and charged 25 rupee for an extra one.
