OYO 4290 Silicon Suits

This was my worst OYO stay, even though I’ve used them regularly. The room was spacious, but the table had a broken leg and the bathroom rack was hanging loose. The AC barely cooled, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping. It felt like a penthouse, and the lift didn’t reach it. You couldn’t take the lift down either, since the buttons on the upper floors were taped over. There may be some kind of protest against OYO management over low prices, but customers shouldn’t have to deal with that. I’m surprised the property is rated 3.8 both here and on the OYO website. There was no sign outside saying it was an OYO, so we had trouble finding it.

We booked through OYO, but the room we were given looked nothing like the listing photos. The lighting was poor, the bathroom seat was broken and seemed to have been left in place to fool us, and the bathroom door handle was broken and came off. There was only a wall fan, no ceiling fan, and we got no towel or soap. When we raised it with OYO, the manager spoke rudely and insisted this was the only room, whether we wanted to stay or not. Later, while we were at reception speaking to OYO customer care, we were forced to leave. This place is a mess, and I felt the manager was taking people's money under the name of OYO rooms. Don’t get caught out like we did.

We’d paid online, then they put us out without giving the money back. We had a patient with us, and when we tried to speak to the manager, he was rude to my companion, gave a false name, Suresh Shetty, and threw us out. Don’t book here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The worst experience with the worst kind of people.

The location is very prime, but it’s a hotel built with plywood on the roof. The lift doesn’t work properly, and there’s no proper signboard. You have to look up at the top floor to find the OYO sign.
