The location was inconvenient, with nothing interesting nearby. Food was only moderately tasty, and the washing machine area had such a weak water flow that doing laundry took more than an hour. My room in the shared accommodation was a little dirty and poorly maintained. The staff also seemed uninterested and unhelpful. Management seemed focused on getting money, even after an advance had been paid. Mr. Khalid or Khadir, I’m not sure which, behaved very badly toward customers and wasn’t friendly. If another customer showed up, people who had already booked could be moved to poorer rooms. That was especially disappointing, and I really disliked Mr. Khalid or Khadir’s attitude. The daily rates felt far too high for what was offered: 600/day for double sharing and 500/day for other sharing options. It wasn’t worth the money. I stayed at the MGR PG FOR GENTS and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. The staff, facilities, and location all fell short, and I wouldn’t return.

Rooms are neat and clean, and the people are friendly. We can always get a room when we visit. It’s a quiet area, and there’s safe parking in the basement. Good service too, with budget friendly prices.
I shared a pleasant stay at Swamy Residency with my brother for two years while we were at university. The accommodation and food were nice then. Those days are gone now, though. Swamy Residency has changed into an OYO Hotel, and the authority and staff behave horribly. I wish they’d bring it back as a Boys PG or Lodge, so we could stay there like we did in the old days.
There’s food three times a day, with both South and North Indian options, though the variety is limited. The place is nicely kept and has a good ambience. You can pay by the day if you don’t want to stay for a month. Outsiders are restricted, and CCTV is used to monitor the property 24 hours.
The manager is great and the staff are friendly. It’s very clean, and the food is good.
