The Elite Royale

We went as a group and spent around 50k, but the buffet service was awful. Staff were rude and arrogant, and bringing buffet items and refills took an intentionally long time. We asked for ice cream and got a lecture about its preparation, then one small box arrived 45 minutes later. They also stopped the DJ 20-30 minutes before the agreed time. The place was overpriced and badly managed, with inexperienced, rude staff, poor service, and no manners. Never go there for corporate or group bookings.

The reception staff treated us badly and had no politeness in how they spoke to customers. Staff in general were mannerless, and they need to know how to handle an argument between customers. There was no decency in the way they spoke with us.

Booking through MakeMyTrip made the place look lovely, but the bed felt like I was sleeping on a spring wrapped in a bedsheet. The bathroom flush gun was leaking too. I complained, but they neither changed my room nor replaced the bed. When I asked for a water bottle, they wanted more than the MRP. The waiter said that's simply how they charge, then refused to sell it when I said I'd pay the printed price. He took it back, and they didn't even offer a bottle to make up for the inconvenience. Very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it for families. Google shows it as tied up with OYO, and it seems they cater only to OYO-type customers.

The Elite Royale felt dark and gloomy because the third-floor rooms had poor lighting, no views, and no bathroom exhaust fan, which made them suffocating. Online bookings always seem to get these worst rooms, while the better first-floor rooms go to people who walk in and book directly. That's unfair and misleading. Service was nearly nonexistent too. I asked for scissors, a basic item, and they didn't have any. Even though rooms were clearly available, they refused an early check-in. Staff were rude and uninterested, with no sense of hospitality. It feels like money matters more than service, and online guests are treated like second-class customers. I'll never come back. If you're booking online, avoid this place.
