The one thing going for this hostel-style hotel is its market-area location, with food, shopping, and transport close by. I might consider it for bachelors on a very low budget for 1-3 days, but not for a family. The upkeep was poor throughout. There were cockroaches in the room, so we needed insect spray to sleep, and the corridor smelled strongly of cigarettes. Food waste was left unattended, the TV didn't work, the bathroom door was faulty, and the mirror was broken. Hygiene overall was very poor. Parking was difficult in the tight basement area. The staff were polite, but there seemed to be only around four people managing the whole hotel, not enough to look after all the rooms.

The location is about the only satisfactory thing here. At reception, guest concerns seemed to be ignored, and there often wasn't a manager-level person available. Sometimes housekeeping staff appeared to be covering reception, which says a lot about the service. Staff behavior was unprofessional. They wouldn't allow check-in before 1 PM, even when rooms were vacant and guests had arrived early. I'd think carefully before booking and would look at nearby alternatives.

I checked out before my planned date, then an unexpected work commitment meant I needed to stay longer after all. Sohail and team were polite and helped extend my stay, giving me the room keys again without any hassle. Their customer care made the change stress-free. An unexpected business commitment came up after I'd checked out ahead of schedule, so I needed to extend my stay. The service manager understood and promptly arranged the extension and gave me the room keys again without any trouble. I appreciated the professional, caring help. The room's lock jammed almost every time we tried it, and the TV was useless without a remote. But the bed bugs were the main problem. We kept waking up all night to check the bed and couldn't sleep comfortably. When we reported it, staff said bed bugs were common in hotels. That response didn't sit right with us, especially if they knew about the issue and could clean and treat the place. We also asked for fresh sheets and cleanup, but waited a long time. They eventually moved us to another room, which had similar hygiene problems. The whole stay was uncomfortable. I don't usually post negative reviews, but I hope management gets things in order. Guests deserve clean rooms and a peaceful stay.
