Treebo Silver Key, Marathahalli

The receptionist told me the property is no longer associated with Treebo, though it’s still listed under that brand. That felt misleading. The stay itself was very disappointing, and I can’t decide whether it deserves one star or two. There was no lock on the washroom door, the walls looked rotten, and the stained bedsheets made the room feel unhygienic. Dusty floors and dirty bath towels added to the poor cleanliness. The room had no intercom, there was no kitchen or in-house restaurant, and breakfast wasn’t provided. There was no hot water, just mildly warm water that wasn’t enough, and even a complimentary water bottle was missing. The property lacks basic hotel standards, maintenance and hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families or business travellers.

I booked two days through agoda and checked in. The lift wasn’t working, so I had to climb to the fifth floor. The bedsheets looked worse than ones at roadside hotels. I warned them more than once, but they ignored me and didn’t change them. At 4 in the morning I had to buy my own vedhseets just to sleep. The toilet was terribly maintained, with no water and no soap. In the morning, when there still wasn’t water, I went down five floors and found nobody at reception. No one picked up our calls either. I finally left without telling anyone, though I’d already paid. Repeating it: never, ever go again.

From the start, the dirty, poorly maintained room made the stay uncomfortable. The AC wasn’t working, and staff took no proper action after I reported it. They were rude and unhelpful too. A very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The rooms and entrance all smelled bad, and the hotel doesn’t seem to manage its rooms well. The bathroom doors had no latch, the other amenities were very poor, and the lift wasn’t working. Worst experience ever.
