The Black Morel Hotel & Restaurant

The room was awful: the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, there was no ventilation, and the bedsheet and duvet had burn marks. The bed was missing a duvet cover. We asked several times for another one, but it never arrived. We also found the service horrible, the rooms poor, and the food inedible. The location wasn’t good for us either. There was nothing nearby, Jibhi was 10km away, and there were no food outlets close by. We ordered sandwiches and had already asked the chef about the price. We were told we could pay whatever we wished, and since breakfast was included, we didn’t expect an extra charge. But while we were sitting on our bus about to leave, the receptionist called abruptly to say we still had a balance to pay. It was humiliating to hear those allegations. We paid the full amount, of course, but this could have been avoided with properly trained staff. I’d never recommend this hotel. If you’re in Jibhi, stay somewhere else.

The beds were comfortable, the staff friendly, and the place was clean, well located, and good value for money. Loved the experience.

We spent three days at Black Morel Hotel in Banjar. All the rooms are spacious and have balcony views. It was a good experience overall.

The balcony gave us beautiful views from our room, and the Banjar location was great. Rooms were clean and felt hygienic, and the staff were genuinely humble and helpful. It was a wonderful stay overall. One small tip: skip the kulcha and chutney at breakfast, they weren’t quite up to the standard of the rest of the stay.
