OYO 80038 Hotel Fridays

I booked a room for three people through the Agoda mobile app on December 25, 2023, for one day. Check-in was disappointing. The receptionist was very rude and said they wouldn’t allow one lady and two gents to stay together. I asked where that restriction appeared in their terms and conditions. After several arguments, he reluctantly agreed to give us a room. The advertised facilities weren’t there: no drinking water, water jug, hair dryer, or tea/coffee maker. There was only a used glass. The blanket smelled bad, had some white discharge on it, and was in poor condition. The telephone for service was dirty and didn’t work. The curtains were torn, and the room had an unpleasant smell. The experience stayed negative throughout our stay. The problem continued until checkout. The receptionist, who had been uncooperative and was intoxicated, refused to provide the third bed even though I’d booked for three people. After many arguments, he finally brought it at 10 pm. Breakfast was included for free in my booking, but they refused to provide it. I complained to Agoda customer care through their chatbot, but they took no action, so I had to put up with the issues all day.

The rooms were shabby, smelled bad, and had poor lighting. The pictures on the OYO app gave a misleading impression, and this place didn’t feel up to OYO standards. Reception staff were rude and seemed to mislead guests to get extra money. A really bad experience.

My online booking through aogada wasn’t honored because the hotel said the room was already booked. I wasn’t refunded, either. The staff behaved very badly, and the whole experience felt fraudulent. Don’t book a room online here.

The bed itself was good, but the pillow and blanket were horrible. The towel looked used, as if it had just been folded without washing. There was no drinking water provided, and a one-litre bottle cost 30/-. The electricity kept cutting out when the MCB tripped, about every five minutes. There are only two rooms. In the one that looked better, the door lock didn’t work; the room with a lock wasn’t fit to stay in. The bathroom was very dirty and unhygienic, and the walls and roof looked like they could fall at any time. They also charged at least 100 in the name of GST just to enter, without giving a GST bill. Food cost as much as you’d expect at a five-star hotel, but the quality was like roadside thela food. The chicken biryani in the picture cost 250/-. They charged extra GST on food too, again without a bill.
