OYO 40177 Hotel Taj International

I've stayed here once a month for the last year, but the service and behavior have been getting worse. The linen was dirty, the TV didn't work because of the set-top box, and although they show Wi-Fi availability, there was no connection. Local staff and service boys behaved very badly. The hotel had no food available. When I ordered lunch or breakfast, they brought it from outside and charged a high price. At check-in, a service boy also asked for money to prepare the room, though OYO doesn't charge to get the room ready. I'm very disappointed.

They openly smoke and drink at reception, and it felt like no one would help if something happened. It's a remote place and doesn't seem welcoming to families. I can't explain everything I saw there. The owner refused to let us in and asked for more money, which may have been a blessing. OYO hadn't refunded me at first, so I was chasing them for my money. Update: OYO issued the refund.

The service and staff behavior were very good. The bedsheet had been used before, the bathroom was about 7 out of 10 for cleanliness, and the dustbin was muddy inside. The Saver room is smaller than usual. Still, it's a good place to stay overall.

Don't rely on the high ratings and good reviews. I had a bad experience just a few days ago: the rooms weren't cleaned properly and there was no room service. The receptionist, though, was very cordial and a dear person.
