Sri Sudharsana Residency

Waking up to the temple mantras was a surreal experience, since Sri Sudarshan Residency is right across from the temple. Srinivas Sir was especially pleasant and helpful, guiding us throughout our stay in Bhadrachalam. Even during peak season, he didn't try to raise prices unreasonably. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay and would recommend it for a temple visit.

It's close to the temple, but the rooms felt like public lodges at bus stands or railway stations. There was no parking, so we had to leave the car on the road. Rooms and washrooms weren't properly cleaned, and the sheets and towels were poor. No TV or mirror, and the electrical sockets and switches didn't work properly. There was no hot water in the rooms either. When we asked, staff brought it up in buckets from the ground floor, and every room had the same problem. I wouldn't recommend staying here at any cost.

The balcony view is the one good thing, and the temple looks great from there. But we found cockroaches, the sheets weren't clean, and the towels didn't feel hygienic. There isn't any car parking either. For what we paid, the cleanliness wasn't worth it. If the view matters more to you than service and hygiene, you could stay here, otherwise it isn't worth the money.

Rooms are neat, staff are friendly, and the place is right opposite the temple. They also have Papikondalu tickets available here. I'd strongly recommend it as a place to stay in Bhadrachalam.
