The Hosteller Bhandardara

We celebrated my mom's birthday in the mountains while the fireflies festival was going on. The staff were friendly and welcoming, guided us well, and helped make the experience special. siddhesh, the host, arranged everything for the celebration. It was a great time, and we'll definitely recommend the place and visit again.

The property is surrounded by Arthur Lake and the setting is fantastic. The rooms were clean and neat, and the vegetarian food was good. Service at the cafeteria disappointed us: it took a long time for the ordered dish to arrive. Still, the stay was good overall and left us feeling relaxed and refreshed.

We were looking for somewhere beyond Mumbai, and this hostel sits in beautiful nature, far from everything. Picking the superior cottage was a great call. It was the best room we had in all of India. Shashank from the Cafe also deserves a mention: the food he made was delicious, and he was a big help with other things too. I’d happily recommend it if you want to see a different side of India.

The setting was a real highlight, with open grassland, lush greenery, and a lovely panoramic view. It felt quiet and refreshing, and the clean, comfortable rooms and common areas were well cared for. The mornings were peaceful, the evenings soothing, and it was easy to slow down and get away from the daily routine. I’d suggest giving yourself at least three days to take in the surroundings and enjoy Bhandardara. We’d booked a tent at The Hosteller Bhandardara, but after our long, tiring journey, Manish Khetade quickly understood how we were feeling and moved us to a room without us having to ask. That kindness made the stay special. We had a wonderful time, and I’d recommend it to anyone after scenery, comfort, and genuine hospitality.
