Hyatt Place Bharuch

I spent the last couple of weeks here and really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the food was excellent. Everyone was warm and attentive, from Amit and the front desk team to Chef Manoj, Pradeep Singh, Vikash, Rehaan, Kurban, Tulsa and the restaurant crew, as well as Rajesh in housekeeping.

A one-night booking turned into four nights because the experience was fantastic, with great food and excellent rooms. Service is why I'd give four stars instead of five: SOME staff seemed to treat you differently when your skin was the same colour as theirs, while they would bend over backwards for anyone else.

The Wi-Fi was unreliable at times, which is the main reason for my four-star rating. The gym could also use an upgrade: it only has hand barbell weights, without a proper training bar and plates. A bar with plates secured by collars would be safer and more useful, and the equipment needs updating. The floor mats were dirty and should be replaced. There was a good choice at breakfast, but used tables sometimes sat unclean for too long. Individual honey and jam sachets would be preferable to shared jars like the butter, and a broader cheese selection and fresh croissants each day would improve the meal. Communication was occasionally difficult, even though I speak Hindi, Gujarati and English. Some extra restaurant staff training may help, and every guest should be treated equally. The à la carte food, on the other hand, was fresh, well prepared and very good. Rooms were clean and well maintained, housekeeping was excellent, there were plenty of water bottles, and the bathroom had a great, powerful shower. The front desk team were proficient, professional and genuinely helpful. The entrance and reception seating make a welcoming first impression, and the location is great. The security staff at the front door were polite and welcoming. I had a good stay at Hyatt Place Bharuch, a comfortable, well-run hotel with friendly, professional staff and a few details that could be improved.

I left lunch at Hyatt Place Bharuch completely disappointed. The cutlery smelled foul and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. When I pointed it out, the staff brought another dirty set without checking it. The service felt careless, with no attention to detail or basic hygiene. For a reputed brand like Hyatt, that level of service and cleanliness is unacceptable. It wasn't worth the experience or the price.
