Around 1 AM, someone knocked on the door and left us hanging all night. The service was poor overall. A cold drink that costs 65 outside was charged at 150, and a cigarette packet priced at 95 elsewhere cost 150 here. The paid breakfast tasted as if it had been sitting around for days. Don't go.
We reached around 10pm on our booking date after paying through goibibo, but the owner refused to give us a room. They said oyo wasn't paying what they were owed, so they weren't accepting online payments, and they wouldn't even listen to the oyo customer care officer. The staff and owner were extremely rude, and the location was bad. It didn't feel safe, and I would never visit with family or a girlfriend. Thanks to goibibo and our own efforts, we found a room at a nearby hotel, the ras mahal, which turned out to be very good. We got it for the same price, with the rest apparently paid by goibibo. This was my worst oyo experience. Never choose this opal hotel.
After we paid in advance through the oyo app, the hotel still couldn't give us a room. The room wasn't hygienic, despite oyo claiming the rooms had been properly sanitized. Even at reception there was no sanitizer for people checking in. The staff and oyo service were both awful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The hotel itself was great, with good amenities and good staff. The locality didn't feel soothing to me, though. Five stars for the hotel, two for the location.
The room was clean, and the hotel supplied an OYO kit, a towel, and water. The staff were helpful and cooperative. It’s close to jal Mahal, though breakfast isn’t included by OYO.
