Hotel Sun 'N' Shine

I've travelled around India and outside it for more than 27 years and never come across a rule like this: if we order food from Swiggy or Zomato, they won't provide a plate or spoon. They expect guests to eat only food from the hotel, whether it's good, bad, or costly. When I asked reception for plates, the person simply said they couldn't provide cutlery because I'd ordered outside food. The rooms are too small, and walking into mine felt like stepping into the bathroom. There were mosquitoes too. Bad service and a bad experience with the staff.

We booked a 'Deluxe Room' at this large property, which has spacious rooms and is undergoing renovations. It included all the promised amenities, but the condition was disappointing: paint was peeling in several places, and we came across cockroaches during our stay. It seems to be the only budget friendly choice in Bhavnagar, but the poor maintenance and hygiene were hard to overlook.

I checked the rooms and they looked nice and clean, but I didn't stay because the price seemed high compared with other hotels.

We walked into reception at midnight with my family, and the front desk manager offered only the highest tariff room, even though other rooms were available. I decided to book online through agoda, which infuriated him. He then gave us the worst, dirtiest room in the hotel despite major rooms being empty. Ridiculous staff behavior.
