GCC Hotel and Club

The buffet had such a huge spread that I wished I had more than one stomach. There was veg, non-veg, Chinese, Gujarati and Mangalorean food, plus a fantastic sweets section, bao and bread, and a chaat counter. The tender coconut sweet was something unique. I had a good time at the wedding reception. The hall was spacious, well lit, and had a positive vibe. I don't know about the rooms, but I'm sure they're good.

We aren't members, but we come here often for the restaurants, which serve classy food to a high standard. The hotel has the best facilities too. At a recent family wedding in Emerald Hall, the broccoli almond soup with focaccia was impressive. Makhani nachos and pita with Kolhapuri hummus were fantastic creations. I also enjoyed the kimchi salad, roasted khichiya, apricot halwa, rasmalai, rabdi, kulfi with falooda, and malai kalakans coconut. The Thai green curry tasted good but was watery; after we mentioned it, they sent it back to be fixed right away. The thecha, vangi bhartha, and bajri bhakri were mind-blowing and must-haves. It's also the season to visit their Namaste restaurant for Sarson ka saag and missi roti.

I loved the place from the moment I walked in for my cousin's wedding. The halls were bright with chandeliers, the stage decor looked pretty, and even with 500 people inside, the cooling felt relaxing. They have valet parking, and the food was delicious with several options. It's a club and hotel as well, with a clean, lifeguarded swimming pool on the ground floor. I'd recommend considering it for upcoming events.

The ground-floor Emerald banquet hall near reception is especially impressive and works well for a sangeet. There are two banquet halls with different capacities, one on the first floor and the other on the ground floor, plus two open lawns for weddings that suit different crowd sizes. The hotel has exclusive tie-ups with decorators, who also keep a help desk on site to coordinate things smoothly. The property is impressively large, enough that the adjoining road is named after it. It's about 3 km from Mira Road station and around a 10-minute drive. There are multiple room categories, along with a restaurant and swimming pool.
