The breakfast team in the cafeteria were kind and very organized during the week. I especially want to recognize Mithun, Ajay, and Thanu. At reception, the two women, including Miss Shraddha, were also really thorough. Thanks as well to Ms Alex and Kush, who kept the room clean, organized, and just right every day. They were professional, reliable, and thorough. Thank you, Devendra, Nikhil, and Deepak. We had a wonderful week here with family. The property has very good facilities, the staff are super cooperative, and I highly recommend it.

The location is good and the rooms are a decent size, but the service doesn't live up to the star rating. I asked for a double bed instead of twin beds in my other room. They offered an upgrade that sounded complimentary at first, but it cost 1500/-. Paying that raised my expectations, then I saw cockroaches running across the floor right after the room had been cleaned. Housekeeping also seemed poorly trained. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing. It was served in an isolated room with limited seats and very few choices, mostly South Indian food, rather than in their usual restaurant. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel was quiet, perhaps because occupancy was low. They don't have in-house catering, so you have to go out for lunch and dinner. The people at reception were stubborn, rude, greedy, and unfriendly. My stay wasn't pleasant.

I was at Hotel Gurudev Grand for a close friend's wedding, so I got to see the rooms, rooftop setup, banquet arrangements, and wedding catering at ₹2000 per plate. I judge places by what they promise versus what they deliver, and there's a gap here. If the price and expectations are negotiated realistically, it can work as a wedding venue in Kalyan. But the 3-star label and ₹2000 plate rate may set expectations higher than the experience. It feels more like a good event hotel than a polished 3-star place to stay. Food is the main issue at that price. There was decent variety, acceptable presentation, and active, responsive serving staff, but the taste was average and nothing memorable. The flavors didn't justify the price, and the execution felt standard rather than premium. The food wasn't bad, but it should impress at this rate and give guests something to remember. There's serious room to improve. The rooftop is the property's strongest feature. It looked good for an evening wedding, with appealing décor, useful lighting for photos, and a pleasant open-air feel. It suited a medium-sized gathering without feeling crowded. In humid weather around Mumbai, though, airflow and cooling need work to keep guests comfortable. The rooms were spacious, basically clean, and had comfortable beds for a short stay. Reception staff were polite and cooperative, and check-in went smoothly. The interiors feel dated, and the finishing doesn't really match a premium 3-star category. The ambience is functional, not refined, and some details feel more geared to banquets than guest stays. Staff were courteous and mostly helpful through the event. There were some minor delays at busy times, and they could respond faster, though that's understandable with a large gathering. Coordination was decent, and I didn't see any major mismanagement. The location in Kalyan is convenient for guests coming from different parts of the city, and parking and entry were handled reasonably well. Overall, it's a decent banquet-focused property with a strong rooftop venue.
