Oyla Cottage gets four stars from me. The location is excellent and convenient, and the rooms are spacious enough for a family. When we asked, the staff arranged a kids’ cot with a mattress, which was thoughtful and helpful. The main issue was the room conditions in winter. The stone rooms felt damp and quite cold much of the time, and there was a noticeable damp smell that affected comfort. Some nearby buildings are still under construction too. Aside from that, the stay was pleasant. Better ventilation and dampness control would make it a great place to stay.

We had freshly cooked breakfast and dinner, and would love to come back. The rooms were very neat and well kept, staff were polite, and the hospitality was excellent. The balconies have lovely views of the scenery.

The rooms were okay, with plenty of space but not many amenities. We weren’t given toiletries or towels, and had to ask for them two or three times. One bed didn’t have a bedsheet; we asked, but it still wasn’t provided by the end of our stay. Also, not every room has a view, so check before booking.

We stayed last week and loved it. From our room high up on Yercaud, the night view was amazing, and the room service was friendly and welcoming for our family. The morning and evening meals were good, cooked in-house, and the service was prompt, neat, and clean.

The greenery around the location is lovely, and the staff behaved extremely well. Food quality was better than at other places. The room was large enough for four or five people, with one double bed and one single bed. The washroom was clean and fine. There was some construction in a few rooms, but it didn’t disturb us. Families and bachelors can have a good time in the corridor.
