I paid for a ‘Super Deluxe’ room, but found bugs and a cockroach there, as the photos I shared show. The room hygiene and service quality need work. I got the impression the hotel takes guests for granted because there aren’t other hotels nearby, and charges high prices without offering anything special. It wasn’t what I expected for the price.

The reception staff were friendly, but I found the rest of the staff unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with. Our room wasn’t properly maintained: there were bugs, the TV didn’t work, and the toilet seat was broken. The hotel is quite old and badly needs a full renovation. We were highly disappointed with the stay.

The service stood out, from the ground team to reception. Everyone was professional and the service was exceptional. This is the oldest hotel around, and it still has its charm, but the rooms look old because of the woodwork and definitely smell. It also needs a major renovation, as there were insects in the room.

I only stopped in for an evening drink. The ambience was nice, and the Chicken Bankara was awesome, so give that a try. There may have been fewer customers, because they seemed to have switched off the AC. Given the location, ambience, and hospitality, the prices felt high.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location within walking distance of many landmarks. We loved the complimentary breakfast and will definitely stay again.
