Grand Hotel Vinayak

The only thing going for this place is its spot on the Bhopal-Nagpur highway. The smell inside was dingy and off-putting. We stopped in an emergency late after midnight, so we didn’t have a choice. Otherwise, I would never stay here.

Rooms were neat and clean, and there’s hot water around the clock. The charges were very reasonable, with no extra fees, and the service and facilities were very good. It’s a pure vegetarian hotel close to the industrial area, where many people come from different places to visit industries. A good place to try if you need to stay in mandideep.

They seemed to mislead us with promises about the room and rates. I visited directly and saw their rate card listing the AC room price, but after I stayed, they argued that my room cost more and demanded extra payment. In another case, a colleague booked through an online booking website and was given a room without AC, since the websites didn’t mention AC. Then they said he’d have to pay more for an AC room. The service, booking, and rates were the worst.

For the price, the room condition was good and the hotel was okay. Staff were okay too, but the food costs a lot for its taste and quality, which need improvement. There’s no complimentary breakfast.
