OYO 70329 Shree Balaji Tower

I booked a room and paid in full, but this turned into the worst experience of my life. On check-in day, Oyo customer care called to say they were moving me because of an electricity failure. That was a complete lie, as I checked with the hotel. When I reached Bhopal, nobody answered the reception number Oyo had given me. They supplied another number, but it was out of service. Then they called again to say my hotel was being changed and gave me a new number, but I was told there were no rooms available when I called it. I contacted Oyo again and was left on hold for 15 minutes while they supposedly looked into it. When I called again, they put me on hold once more, then said they'd send the hotel details by SMS. Meanwhile I got around 20 texts with different hotel details, along with thank-you and apology messages. After 3 hours, I finally got a room about 20 Km from the railway station, even though they had first promised one near the station. The room was bad, the staff were nowhere to be found, and the property was awful. Never use Oyo Rooms.

The rooms were livable and clean, the AC worked, and the fan ran at low strength. There was a dustbin, hot water, but no TV connection or Wi-Fi. The bedsheets were semi-clean, not bright white, and the showers didn't work. There was no water supply from 11 at night until 10 in the morning, so I used water stored in the solar heater tank. Service was terrible. There was no phone connection, so I had to go up and down the stairs for anything. They didn't provide water, soap, towels, or anything unless asked, and then I had to fetch it myself. I asked for dishes to eat from and they didn't give any. I also had to pay for a water bottle. It cost 1000/DAY without GST billing, which felt expensive and bad for a solo guest. Couples from GMC or the surrounding area might visit and leave after they're done. It's near the railway station, but hard to reach by car. Not OYO linked, just displaying an OYO banner. It felt like money laundering was the only thing going on here.

The owner and staff were very courteous, and the location is really good, near the market. Rooms were good too, though the food and beverages were average. A nice, cosy place to stay.

Shree Balaji hotel 👌👌👌👌👌 is in a great spot, very near the bus stand and easy to get to from the railway station too. The rooms were clean and the staff provided superb service. One of the best hotel options for the location.
