Some rules weren’t explained before I paid, including restricted use of the kitchen and refrigerator. CCTV was in the shared areas, and friends weren’t allowed to sit together in rooms. During my two-month stay at this PG, pests were a persistent problem: I often saw tiny lizards and cockroaches, including on my bed, and repeated reports didn’t lead to an effective fix. Housekeeping was another issue. The room wasn’t cleaned regularly, and the bathroom was cleaned only three times in two months. The washing machine and AC remote also didn’t work properly, and repeated requests didn’t resolve those problems. The maintenance, communication, and living conditions fell short of what I expected.

The location is a bit distant, but this feels more homely than a hotel. It has soothing decor, excellent homemade food, and foreigners often stay here. It’s especially suitable if you’re with elderly people.

The kitchen was unhygienic, with three or four big mice roaming around every midnight, and the food was far too spicy. The food and electricity bills were also too costly. For a monthly rent of Rs. 20,000, excluding food and electricity, the room lacked basics like a wash basin and study table. Housekeeping was very poor.

We used this property and its services for more than two years for our son, who was studying a PG course in bhubaneswar. It’s in a prime area of Ganpati Nagar, yet the location is peaceful, and the host is excellent. The amenities and service were excellent, and the staff were very cooperative. We give the property and service 10 out of 10. If we return to bhuvneshwar, this would be our first choice.
