The Nook

A nice place to stay in Kalinganagar. The hotel is in a very good spot.

The food was delicious, and the staff were very warm and courteous. Rooms were clean and hygienic too.

We booked 24 rooms at 488 The Nook for a family event. Before the booking date, we visited and found the rooms and corridor smelled bad. We asked them to clean and use freshener; they said they would, but didn’t. At billing, they wrongly accused people staying there of breaking glasses and added 4000 for water bottles. Guests had asked for the available filtered water, but staff said filling bottles was too tiring and charged us for bottled water instead. They put all the rooms under our name, rather than the names of the people who actually stayed. They also didn’t get bills signed by guests who had food or water, so we had no way to check whether the amounts were correct. When we raised these issues, staff were very rude. Please be careful booking here. They may cheat you in ways you don’t realise.

Mr Arijit was courteous and ready to help at any time. The hospitality, food, and staff all deserve a high rating, and getting around from here was very convenient. It’s set in a natural area surrounded by lovely parks and such. I’d stay again if I get the chance.
