The rooms are dirty, the building is very dark, and there’s no bulb in the walkway on each floor. Sometimes the power goes out, the door locks don’t work properly, and parking is very difficult. The AC remote wasn’t satisfactory, so the room was very hot. This is a third-class room, and it feels like they only want the money, with no customer satisfaction. Manager, go look at every bedroom downstairs and you’ll understand. Customers shouldn’t book here. And finally, Mr. Manager, show a smile.

We paid in advance through a booking website, but when we arrived, the hotel refused to let us check in and said it didn’t accept website reservations, despite being listed on that platform. They asked us to cancel the online booking and offered a room offline for more than the website price. Around 8-9 PM, they pressured us to cancel at the last minute. At first, they didn’t verify the details and told us to settle into the room without proper confirmation. Later, they said the booking had been cancelled.

Hotel Megharaj has a good atmosphere, and I liked how the staff and manager behaved. The rooms here are cheap. There aren’t many hotels and lodges in Vijayapura, so please visit with friends or family. Thank you, Hotel Megharaj.

A very good stay that’s easy on the budget and the pocket. Mr. Anand Manager was helpful and made me comfortable during my stay. I’ll plan to stay here again. Highly recommended.

I lost my phone and then realized I’d left my purse at home in Bangalore, so I was stuck without a way to contact anyone. The hotel staff, especially the receptionist, were understanding and stayed with me through the problem. They patiently helped me and with the language barrier too, since I speak Hindi. Their empathy and willingness to go beyond their usual duties helped me feel safe and cared for when I really needed it. This kind of hospitality, and people who truly care about their guests, made a big difference. I’m very grateful for their support and would highly recommend the hotel for its service and compassion.
