Oyo 30636 Hotel Navaratna International

This place used to be one of the best restaurants in town, but now it's a disappointment. The lodge atmosphere is also spoiled by the kind of customers they let stay there. The toilets and hygiene were awful, everything looked old and worn out, and the bathroom sink seemed close to breaking apart.

The best thing here was the bar and restaurant, which had decent food in the evening. Otherwise, the stay was a letdown. We booked an AC room through OYO, but at check-in the front desk pressured us not to pay online and insisted on cash. Breakfast was included in our package, yet he plainly said there was no breakfast. We didn't have the energy to argue with either the hotel or OYO, so we checked in anyway. Around 1 at night, hundreds of mosquitoes got into the room and kept us awake. We spent an hour clearing them out. They seemed to be coming through gaps around the window, which couldn't shut fully because the TV cable ran through it. The hotel is close to Gol Gumbaz, the rooms are spacious, there are AC rooms, and parking is limited. The vegetarian restaurant was closed, so no breakfast was available, though there is a very good Kamath restaurant nearby for breakfast. That's why this gets one star.

We booked through OYO and felt the staff treated us unfairly. The pillows and bedsheets weren't clean, the floor hadn't been cleaned, and the dustbin garbage was still there. WiFi didn't work either. Staff weren't disciplined about responding to our requests, even though we were only asking for the basic things you'd expect from accommodation. We'd advise choosing carefully. Regards, Harish

We booked this place to stay cool in summer, but the AC quit after an hour and never came back on. We couldn't sleep. Breakfast was included, but even at 8 it wasn't available, so we went out to eat. The man there wasn't even courteous enough to listen to our complaints. A really bad stay we'd rather forget.
