The property is attractive, and the rooms are good. They've tried to give the place a heritage feel, and partly succeeded. It's in an accessible spot in Bikaner before you reach the crowded city. As of May-26, they were adding a building behind the existing hotel, but the work didn't disturb our comfort. The staff were polite and courteous, room service was good, and they even arranged to have the outside of our car cleaned for a very small fee. There's plenty of parking outside, with room for a few cars near reception too. Meals were high quality and tasty, and there's a broad menu, though prices are a little high. Breakfast choices were average, like at many hotels. Overall, we had a good, comfortable stay.

The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the staff were impressive. I had an accident on the way and reached Vasant Vihar Palace. I'm grateful for how quickly and kindly they helped me. They took me to a nearby hospital right away, helped me get a tetanus shot and pain relief, and made sure I was comfortable.

The setting at Hotel Basant Vihar Palace in Bikaner feels like a quiet royal retreat. Its traditional decor, old-style corridors and spacious courtyards give the property a strong heritage feel, and the building and gardens are beautiful. The outdoor lawn and garden are peaceful, and the location is well connected and close to Bikaner's main attractions. It would suit families, couples and business travellers, and the grounds would also make a lovely setting for weddings, events or photoshoots. My room was large, clean and tastefully decorated, with comfortable bedding and a hygienic, well-kept washroom. The hotel felt calm throughout. Staff in housekeeping, at the front desk and in room service were polite, helpful and quick to respond, always ready to assist with a smile. I enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Breakfast had a good range of choices, and the traditional Rajasthani dishes were full of flavour. The dining room has a royal feel too. There was a wide choice on the menu, although prices were a little high. For the heritage style and comfort, I found the price reasonable. I had a wonderful stay and would choose it again when I'm back in Bikaner.

A lovely stay, with clean rooms, tasty food, a nice heritage feel, and polite, professional staff. One thing to know is that there's no pool, even though we booked the property for one. Still, it was a great experience.

The staff's manner really let down my visit to a restaurant in Basant Vihar. From the start they seemed uninterested and unwelcoming, and I had to repeat basic requests several times before anyone acknowledged them. There was very little courtesy, and some replies came across as abrupt and dismissive. Hospitality matters when dining out, and it was missing here.
