The Serene Shores - Luxury Private Villa

We chose Serene Shores for my in-laws’ 40th wedding anniversary, and it was an ideal setting for a family get-together. The villa had six spacious rooms, a beautiful infinity pool, and a large lawn, which made the occasion memorable. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and well maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable the whole time. The owner deserves a special mention for being flexible and accommodating, which made organizing and planning the celebration much easier. It was a truly memorable stay, and I’d recommend it for anyone planning a special family occasion in a peaceful, luxurious setting.

The best part was how easy it was to enjoy the outdoors: the garden was well kept, and we could use the cricket and badminton sets. Serenity Beach is close enough to walk to, and sunrise there was awesome. Parking was ample, too. Our group of 10 friends stayed for 2 lovely days, using both the first and second floors. The clean swimming pool was a highlight, and having a working oven and fridge in the common area was handy. Staff were polite, professional, and helpful. The water was clean and tasty, and breakfast was delicious each morning. Restaurants for lunch or dinner are at least 2 km away, though Swiggy and Zomato deliver there, so that was manageable. 'The Serene Shores' gave us a peaceful, fun place for our family trip, and we'd happily recommend it.

The villa is spacious and clean, but the living room has no AC, so it was unusable during the day and we were stuck in the bedrooms. The place is deep in the interiors, far from a good beach. The nearest one is a dirty, smelly fisheries area. We regretted booking it. It was completely overpriced and didn't feel like a luxury stay. Staff were inhospitable, and they wouldn't return washed cutlery unless we asked. On our last day, they broke their promise to hold our bags because they wanted to lock up early, which ruined our sightseeing plans. Breakfast was the same lackluster packed food delivered to our room each day. Pondicherry's beaches have a major trash and stray dog problem, though some places are still beautiful and the food is great. There are better and much more pocket-friendly properties around. I'd avoid this villa and Agoda.

Mr.Ashok, the owner, was really humble and friendly. He treated us so well, and even helped load our luggage into the car despite having employees there. Such a gentleman. I've stayed at Serene shores twice, once with friends and once with family, and both times felt fun, safe, and relaxing. I had Aqua on both visits. For the price, it's seriously one of the BEST premium stays, with a private infinity pool. Check-in was hassle-free, parking was safe, the lawn was well kept, and the rooms were comfy. Highly recommend for trips with friends or family.
