We had a room with a road view, Room No 6, and it was good. The hotel is a Heritage Hotel on Jawaharlal Street in White Town, right in the heart of the city. Breakfast was home-tasting and good quality, though the buffet was limited and served only from 8am to 9.30am: Dosa, Idly, Bread Toast, Butter, Jam, Tea & Coffee. The reception manager was polite and kind, and the service was very good. He accepted our late checkout request, and breakfast was complimentary. I'd suggest booking the breakfast buffet, I forgot to check in a hurry. The location is very convenient: the beach is 450m away, Sri Aurobindo Ashram 250m and the temple 200m. A2B is about 150m away for vegetarian food, and Hotel Kaarthik Veg, just 200m away, is too good. There's also a Chettinad Non Veg Hotel and Kovai Palimudhir Fruit & Juice Centre very close, plus lots of shopping centres nearby. We stayed two days and were happy with it.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, whether you're traveling with friends or bringing family and a small child. The staff cook food that feels homemade, and the receptionists are polite and quick to help when asked. The hotel is close to Manakula Vinayagar Temple, the beach, and the main shopping area. A couple of things could be better: there’s no lift, and the linen could be cleaner. Still, I had a 10/10 experience.

Getting around from here was convenient, but the shower was a letdown. The water pressure was low and there were maintenance problems, and the towels didn’t meet expectations either. Sorting those out would make a stay here much more comfortable.

For Rs.2800 for one day, I got a spacious, clean room with a neat washroom. It had AC, a sofa, a big bed, a wardrobe, an electric kettle, and a smart TV. The hotel is around 600 meter from the Rock beach, and the room has a bike theme. Breakfast wasn't included, but Zomato and Swiggy deliveries are allowed. For me, the location made it good value for money.

We paid 5k per night, and the stay was horrible. There were cockroaches in the room, and both the bedding and the towels were dirty. The towels were torn too. There was no room service, with only one staff member, the receptionist, available. We had no hot water because the geyser didn’t work; I told the receptionist three times during our 2-day stay, but it still wasn’t fixed. Not worth the money.
