Hotel The Emerald

The hotel itself is good, but the rooms are just okay. Food is expensive and only so-so in taste, not worth the price.

The rooms are good, but on my recent February stay the staff were much ruder than I remembered, especially the people at reception. They were good around five years ago.

The indoor bar and lounge are pretty good, and the staff were friendly, so the stay was good. But the rooms need a makeover, and when I came for a function they weren't ready yet. Room service is available and the food is decent, though it takes ages. Even eating in the restaurant, we waited almost 50 minutes, long enough to lose our appetite.

I ordered plain curd, but they sent curd rice. When I complained, the restaurant blamed the delivery boy, even though he confirmed he'd delivered the right order. They still won't admit their mistake, and say the failed calls are my fault too. I've been trying to reach them for two days. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't, and sometimes the call won't connect. The staff have also been very rude and behaved badly on the phone. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
