The manager helped us pick treks and walks, and even made sure we got to try local dishes with our meals. We spent two lovely nights here last month, with really warm, helpful staff throughout.

The food was fresh, hot, tasty, and came in a good variety. Thanadhar is a special place for the peaceful surroundings and welcoming hospitality, with lovely scenery and walks that stay with you. It sits at 2,350 metres above sea level and 77.2 kilometres from Shimla. One of the finest places to stay in Thanadhar, Shimla, India, and well worth a visit.

I can only comment on the restaurant, where I had a lovely lunch. The food felt comforting and home-style, made with fresh produce from nearby orchards and fields. You can sit outside in the sun and look out over the orchard and landscape, or settle into the cozy indoor seating. The view is beautiful.
