Treebo The Northern Retreat Resort With Mountain View

This was a stressful, traumatic stay, and I would strongly warn people away from this property. The place is badly maintained, with broken furniture and a room that was dirty and poorly informed, then changed on the spot to the worst possible room. There were no basic facilities: no hot water in freezing winter, no heater, and no lift, which made everything exhausting and uncomfortable. Food took almost two hours to arrive. Management couldn't control other guests drinking in public areas, playing loud music late at night, dancing on our roof, and walking the corridors with liquor bottles and using abusive language, even with children around. Staff did nothing despite repeated complaints, so I had to call the police. After the police intervened, staff disclosed our room number to the people causing trouble, putting our privacy and safety at serious risk. The staff were untrained and irresponsible, and failed to handle guests or protect basic safety and confidentiality.

The views and location are great, the property is good too, and the staff are very polite.

The staff were supportive throughout and always available to help with questions or requests. My room was comfortable and well kept, a cozy place to come back to after exploring the lively neighborhood. The location had some local charm. The meals were a highlight, delicious and served with care. You could tell the chefs took pride in the food. I had a pleasant stay at Hotel, with good food and helpful staff, and would consider coming back next time I'm in the area.

The room was much smaller than the pictures on the site suggested. Our premium room had a bulky pillar taking up space, tiny windows with no ventilation, and a very small bathroom. It wasn't suitable even for a family of two. The hotel is also a long way from Narkanda and the main attractions. I wouldn't recommend booking here.
