The one drawback is that the hotel is a bit far from Mahabodhi Temple and the city's other attractions, though that isn't the hotel's fault. It's otherwise a good place, with good staff and no traffic noise or disturbance.

The room was spacious and clean, with four beds, though the beds themselves were only moderate. I stayed at alok from the 23rd to the 25th and ran into several problems: there’s no parking, so I left my car by the roadside, and the room had no TV. Hot water was very irregular, there’s no cafeteria or lift, and Mahabodhi Temple is 2.5 km away. The hotel is half a kilometer from the main road.

The staff helped arrange an auto when I needed to get somewhere, but it cost a little much. The hotel is tucked well inside what seems like a village, far from Gaya station, so I had to book a ride to go anywhere. They serve breakfast in a dining hall on the first floor, not in the room, and nobody told us that at check-in. For lunch and dinner, they give you a menu from a nearby dhaba, but the food takes forever to arrive. The TV wasn't working at all either.

The taxi the hotel arranged for the station turned into a detour, as the driver went to visit all his friends along the way. I ended up walking back to the hotel to get a refund for the taxi. The visit was disappointing overall. The advertised Wi-Fi and AC weren't available. The power was connected incorrectly, so the fans slowed down, making it too uncomfortable to sleep without sweating. Water comes from a pump, so there’s none when the power is out.
