SPOT ON 75963 Hotel Prince

The hotel wouldn't answer my calls. When I asked Oyo to contact them, I was told there was no room, even though I'd paid the full amount. The reservation staff were very careless. I also sent someone I know, a Buddhist monk, to check the booking, but the staff treated them badly and said there was no room and they didn't accept online reservations.

The location is handy, close to all the tourist spots in bodhgaya, and the toilets were clean. The interiors weren't very nice, though. The lift wasn't working at the second floor, and the rooms had poor lighting and ventilation. The toilets looked shabby, with only average aesthetics.

The location is the one good thing about this hotel. It's close to places to visit in bodh gaya and seems economical if you only need somewhere to sleep. But be ready to put up with poor conditions: dirty sofas, torn blankets and bedsheets, unhygienic washrooms, and rooms in bad shape. The lighting can feel horrifying, and when I visited in winter, the geyser, which you really need, wasn't working. The hotel is a complete mess.

The hotel is clean and quiet, with five floors, and often accommodates trainees from a Bihar government institution. It's in a central spot near Dodhi Temple, surrounded by street vendors, general shops, and local guides. From the front you can see a Tibetan Monastery, while the side view from the fourth floor takes in the Shikhara of bodhi temple.
