Franco Tamil Villas

The staff were amazing. Service exceeded expectations, and every request got a positive answer and a smile. The setting is lovely too, very peaceful and green, and we were impressed by the clean pool. But the room cleanliness fell short. The refrigerator was really filthy, some linens were slightly dirty, and the towels felt rough and uncomfortable. Breakfast was not good at all. We only had omelets and bread, especially with no buffet on our first day. There were no vegetables, and the only fruit served was melon, which tasted terrible. It was disappointing not to have sunbeds by the pool for relaxing. The kitchenette had no utensils at all, not even basic things like glasses or plates. The place could use some upgrading, especially since it isn’t cheap.

The restaurant was a highlight for me. The food had a home-cooked feel, rich flavors, and excellent taste, and it was served promptly. The staff were genuinely warm, making the place feel more like a home stay than a typical hotel. It’s one of Pondicherry’s most peaceful spots for unwinding. The rooms are impeccably kept, and the property has lovely green spaces where children can enjoy outdoor activities and indoor entertainment. I’d confidently recommend it to anyone. It’s an experience you’ll appreciate.

The whole property feels like another world, especially with all the lush green areas and amazing swimming pool. The villas are authentic, and even though puducherry has so many properties, this hidden gem can be hard to find. Guna in the restaurant was amazing with hospitality, and the food was nice too. Must visit and try this instead of staying in closed indoor hotels.

I’d recommend this peaceful place for a relaxing weekend, and it also seems ideal for groups, with multiple villas where people can enjoy their stay or host events. The staff provided excellent hospitality and made us comfortable. This visit was to Pondicherry Franco Tamil Villas, managed by Western Valley, and it impressed me just as much as my earlier stay at their Ooty property. I’m a regular customer of Western Valley Resorts, and Ooty was an excellent experience, with beautiful ambience and an amazing view. Here, too, the ambience is truly relaxing, surrounded by pure nature. Wonderful stay and an excellent place to visit.
