Hotel Le Royal Park

The location is convenient, but my recent stay at Le Royal Park fell short of expectations. The rooms weren't properly maintained and didn't feel worth the price. Service was slow sometimes, and the staff could be more responsive. Cleanliness and general upkeep need attention too. Average at best, though a few improvements could make it much better.

The basement parking was like a storage warehouse, and there was no lift connecting it to the room. At checkout, nobody came to take our luggage, so we carried it ourselves. They said the valet driver had stepped out when we asked, though there was no valet available. The watchmen outside seemed to expect tips, but after everything else we just didn't feel good about it. We stayed one night, and the whole place felt badly managed. Our fifth-floor room had very loud noise, like repair or renovation work. Nobody told us beforehand. The front desk said it would continue until 6 pm, then the workers would leave, and told us to adjust. They eventually moved us to a room where it was a little quieter. Staff were lethargic and casual, and we had to call room service and housekeeping many times. Dental kits weren't available, the roof was dirty, and the building was old and poorly managed. The food was basic, and staff didn't refill several things. They seemed eager to close the counter. Not worth 1 RUPEE.

I left one of my belongings in the room by mistake, but after checkout I called reception and the staff promptly checked and said they'd parcel it to my home. I really appreciated their honesty and helpfulness. The room was clean, neat, and had a well-maintained washroom. Breakfast was complimentary, but average. We got the hotel at the last minute for a good price. We'd booked through the Agoda app, which showed one guest instead of two, so there was some confusion. After a long conversation, they agreed to give us the room. A pleasant stay with commendable service.

The bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was very good. A trainee on bar service deserves a special mention. He was polite and professional, and even while training, he came across as confident and knew how to treat guests. Keep it up. I'd like to visit again.
